This looks amazing! I love pomegranate anything! Do you use homemade or storebought pomegranate molasses (what brand)?

ReplyDeleteI used store-bought, Cortas. It costs about $2 while homemade ends up costing a fortune to make it in any volume.
Looks awesome. One day, when I'm allowed to cook Thanksgiving for the fam's, this'll be on my to make list.
ReplyDeleteWow, this turkey looks delicious, and what a nice color :-) Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great alternative to the traditional turkey - and I am a huge fan of sweet and savory, so this is extra nice.
ReplyDeleteHi Rachel,
ReplyDeleteDo you think it would work to apply the glaze to the bird the night before or morning of, stick it in the fridge, and then cook it several hours later (or overnight)? Thanks!
M.
ReplyDeleteNo. It would run off. Honestly, the glaze takes about 30 seconds to make and apply so I am not sure why you would want to make it ahead of time.
Hi Rachel, I'm thinking of making this for Thanksgiving this year. What temperature are you starting the bird at? Is it three hours straight from the fridge, or do you bring to room temperature first? Thanks and happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteHi CJ
ReplyDeleteYou always preheat the oven to the baking temperature so in this case you are roasting at 325. There is no reason to bring it to room temperature. As the directions state, it took me about 3 hrs but there is some variation turkey to turkey.
