Creamy Horseradish Sauce

Ingredients:
1/3 cup PLUS 1 tablespoon sour cream
1 1/2 tablespoons prepared horseradish*
1 tablespoon milk
salt
pepper

Directions:
Place all ingredients in a small bowl and whisk together until all ingredients are thoroughly distributed. Serve.

*Preparing your own hoseradish is an arduous task involving vinegar, ice water and a well-ventilated room. Save yourself the hassle and buy a bottle of prepared, minced horseradish.

My thoughts:

I think horseradish one of those foods you either love or hate. Hotter than wasabi, it is quite pungent. This recipes makes a wonderful dipping sauce for steak (as pictured) and can also be used as a zippy spread for sandwiches. Make it and you will be wondering why you haven’t been eating all along.
